About
Technology services built on experience, honesty, and a bias toward useful systems over performative complexity.
McLuckie Builds started from a simple observation: most trades businesses and growing companies are underserved by the IT industry. They are either too small for heavyweight consultancies or too complex for break-fix support.
After more than 15 years in infrastructure and business technology, Greg McLuckie built this practice around a different standard: practical architecture, clear delivery, and systems that actually fit the way businesses operate.
The work now spans cloud infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, marketing platforms, and the TradeOps operating model. The common thread is simple: technology should reduce friction, not create more of it.
How we work
You work directly with senior engineers and builders. No account-manager relay, no junior handoff, no black box.
Every recommendation starts with what will help the business run better, not with a tool someone wants to sell you.
Infrastructure is documented, portable, and readable. We optimize for clarity so your team can own the outcome.
Most work ships in weeks, not quarters. We bias toward small, useful releases that compound quickly.
Cloud infrastructure, collaboration systems, websites, and internal tools all live under one roof, so the stack fits together.
If the right answer is a lighter fix, that is what we recommend. The point is solving the problem, not inflating the project.
Path
McLuckie Builds began as a direct, senior-level consulting practice for companies that were too complex for break-fix IT and too small for heavyweight consultancies.
Cloud migrations, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace became core services after seeing how many clients were leaving value on the table in existing tools.
Marketing sites and custom web applications followed naturally as clients needed systems that connected operations, lead generation, and internal workflows.
TradeOps grew out of the same problem pattern: contractors were trying to run real businesses on generic tools that did not fit the way field work happens.
The current Astro and Cloudflare platform is the next step: faster sites, simpler operations, cleaner content workflows, and a better shared foundation.
